Statement from the Artist:

My practice at this point is mainly focused in photography. However, I still do consider myself a painter, even though I am doing less of it. I picked up photography to help with documenting my paintings and drawings, but I fell in love with the process of image-making, especially out on the streets of Chicago. There is an excitement I get with street photography that comes with the limited time frame of capturing the perfect shot. Even though I can work in a studio, I love to capture the lives and interactions of people and families out on the street, as well as the nuances of the city’s infrastructure. My goal is to be able to share the beauty I see out in the world and invite others to witness and be inspired to experience it firsthand on their own.
